The Lydia Alma an 1840's Coal Scuttle Bonnet
A coal
scuttle style bonnet, was introduced around 1840. The style
differed greatly from its poke bonnet predecessors by the horizontal
line from back to front with no flare.
The
Lydia Alma pattern features four different depths and a rounded
option for early 1850's impressions. The pattern includes a 20 page
instruction booklet complete with detailed illustrations.
Available in silk over buckram
untrimmed from $135 or trimmed from $185. Straw forms
available in 1/2" hemp braid for $85. Straw bonnet lined
with bavolet from $140 or completely trimmed for $190. Please
